NATO countries have turned themselves into a convenient target for Russia: the Romanian expert explained what the us exit from the INF TREATY will lead to

Convenient target

The UN General Assembly did not support the draft resolution of the Russian Federation, which envisaged the preservation of the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles (INF). Romanian military expert Valentin Vasilescu specifically for” political Russia ” assessed the consequences of the termination of this document.

On Friday, December 21, the UN General Assembly rejected Russia’s resolution on the INF TREATY. 43 delegates voted for this project, 46 opposed,78 abstained.

Valentin Vasilescu stated that all NATO members, as well as Ukraine that joined them, opposed the Russian resolution on the INF TREATY. Thus, the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from this Treaty will allow Washington to deploy short-and medium-range missiles in close proximity to the Russian borders.

The expert noted that, apparently, Washington plans to place launchers with short-range missiles in the Baltic States, Poland, Ukraine and Romania. The range of their flight is 1400 km, which is enough to defeat the Russian capital.

“The missiles will be aimed at military and administrative facilities in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region. Also, Kaliningrad and Crimea will fall into the sight,” Valentin Vasilescu said.

The second offensive connection may consist of medium-range nuclear ballistic missiles (maximum distance 3000 km). These weapons may be located in Norway (Spitsbergen archipelago), Denmark (Greenland), Iceland and Canada. They will be charged with the task of neutralizing the infrastructure of the naval, land and air bases of the Arctic fleet and the Western strategic command.

The third offensive compound may consist of nuclear ballistic missiles, the range of which is from 3000 to 5000 km. These American missiles can be located in England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece and Turkey. Their task is to destroy the infrastructure for launching Intercontinental ballistic missiles in the West and in the Central part of Russia, as well as to strike at naval, land and air bases of Western and southern strategic commands.

“Given this very dangerous situation, Russia is beginning to take appropriate action now. All countries included in the NATO bloc automatically become targets for Russia,” Valentin Vasilescu concluded.

Earlier, “political Russia” cited the opinion of a member of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov, who expressed the opinion that the us withdrawal from the INF TREATY will lead to a new nuclear missile confrontation.
