The government will allocate 1.6 billion rubles for the creation of the MS-21
More than one and a half billion rubles will be allocated for the project of the MS-21 aircraft. This was announced by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers, writes TASS.
According to him, he signed a government decree, according to which for the first time subsidies are allocated for the design and support of the MS-21 aircraft. In 2019, one billion six hundred million rubles will be allocated from the state budget for its creation.
The aircraft of the MS-21 project is designed for domestic and international transportation. It is designed to compete with foreign counterparts in all geographical markets. This aircraft has the widest fuselage in the class of medium-haul aircraft (4.06 m). This will provide passengers and crew with comfort that can be compared to the comfort of the latest generation of wide-body aircraft.
The serial production of the aircraft was originally planned for 2017 year, but then the timing was postponed and at the beginning of 2019 year it was allocated funds.
